Questions about installing
Do I need the App Store or Google Play?
No. Academy+ installs straight from your browser, so there is no store account, no download queue and nothing to approve.
Does it use a lot of data or storage?
Very little. It is the same website, opened in its own window from your home screen, so it takes almost no space on your phone.
Does it work without internet?
No. Academy+ needs a connection to show your students, fees and attendance, the same as the website. If your connection drops you will see a short notice and can try again.
Will it update itself?
Yes. You always get the latest version when you open it. There is nothing to update by hand.
Which browsers can install it?
On Android, Chrome, Edge and Samsung Internet. On iPhone and iPad, Safari, and also Chrome or Edge through their Share menu. On a computer, Chrome and Edge, and Safari on a Mac through File, then Add to Dock. Firefox on a computer has limited support for installing web apps, so use Chrome or Edge there.
Is it safe on a shared phone or computer?
Academy+ does not keep copies of your pages or student records on the device. Your sign-in is remembered, like on any website, so use Sign out when you are done on a device other people use.
How do I remove it?
On Android, press and hold the icon and choose Uninstall. On iPhone, press and hold the icon and choose Remove App. On a computer, open the app, then use its menu and choose Uninstall.
