Questions teachers and coaches ask
I only have 10 students. Is it worth it?
Many teachers start with a handful of students. You get the same tools as a large academy, there is no charge per student, and the 14-day free trial lets you see whether it earns its place before you pay anything.
Do I need a laptop?
No. It works in your phone’s browser and installs to your home screen like an app. A laptop is handy for bigger jobs such as uploading a student list, but you can run everything else from your phone.
I teach IELTS. Can I record mock test scores?
Yes. Create a test for each mock, enter every student’s marks out of the total, for example 40 for a section, and Academy+ works out the percentage and grade. It does not convert marks to IELTS bands, so keep your band sheet for that.
I run a sports academy and there are no exams. Does it still fit?
Yes. Batches, timings, attendance and monthly fees are the heart of it, and you can ignore exams completely. If you run skill or fitness tests, you can record those as a test too.
Does it host my online classes?
No, and it does not try to. Keep teaching on Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp. Academy+ looks after what happens around the class: who is enrolled, who attended, who has paid and how they did in the test.
Can parents log in and see their child’s progress?
Not on Lite. The Parent Portal is part of Academy Pro. On Lite you stay in control, and you send fee reminders and notices from your own WhatsApp with the message already written.
What if I pass 50 students, or hire an assistant?
Move to Academy Plus. Everything you have entered comes with you, and your assistant gets their own login that shows only what their job needs. Plus has no student limit.
Can I bring in the students I already have?
Yes. Upload your Excel or CSV list under Students, then Import. It checks every row first and skips anyone already in your list, so you can safely upload a corrected file again.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer, on an invoice from Two Bit Digital (SMC-Private) Limited. There is no card to enter anywhere, and the free trial needs none.
Is my students’ information safe?
Your data is kept separate from every other account, and only the people you give a login to can see it. The security page explains how it is protected.
